About Probably Funding

Probably Funding is a small, modern team running a free service that connects people with participating lenders for personal loans from $500 to $5,000. We are not a lender, and we built the company around one idea: be honest about the odds.

Why We Started Probably Funding

Our team started Probably Funding after watching people fill out the same loan form again and again, on site after site, often without learning what they could actually expect.

Several of us came from consumer lending and online finance. We had seen the problem from the inside. Someone needs $1,500 for a car repair by Friday. They find a lender, type in their income and bank details, wait, get turned down, and start over somewhere else. By the fourth form they are tired, their information has been scattered across a handful of companies, and they still do not know whether anyone will say yes.

We thought there was a better way to handle small, urgent borrowing. One request. A clear match against lenders whose rules actually fit. Offers you can read side by side. And plain talk about what happens if nobody bites.

Why the Name Is "Probably"

Because a match is probable, never promised. We picked a name that says so out loud instead of hiding it in fine print.

Plenty of loan websites lead with big, confident claims. We understand why. But those claims tend to fall apart at the exact moment a person is most stressed, which is when a lender says no. We did not want to start every relationship with a promise we could not keep.

So we chose a name that tells the truth. For many people, a request through Probably Funding produces one or more offers, sometimes within minutes. For others, income, existing debt or credit history falls outside what participating lenders accept. Lenders make every credit decision; we do not. "Probably" is our way of saying that clearly, every time someone types our name.

It turns out people appreciate that. Over 33,000 customers have used the service, and they rate it 4.8 out of 5 across 990 ratings. We think part of the reason is that nobody walks in expecting a sure thing.

Our Mission

Help U.S. adults borrow small amounts responsibly by making the process shorter, clearer and more honest.

We keep our focus narrow on purpose. Probably Funding handles requests from $500 to $5,000, with terms that usually run from 3 to 36 months, across four uses: personal loans for one-time costs, debt consolidation, veterinary bills and small urgent home repairs. We do not arrange large, long-term financing or anything outside that band.

Within that range, our mission has three parts. Save people time by replacing many forms with one. Give them enough information to compare offers on total cost, not just monthly payment. And be willing to tell them when a loan might not be the right move, even if that means we earn nothing from their visit.

How We Earn Money

Participating lenders and partners pay us when we connect them with borrowers. You never pay Probably Funding anything, whether or not you accept an offer.

A free service always raises a fair question: who pays? In our case, lenders do. When we pass a request to a lender, or when a borrower goes on to accept that lender's offer, the lender or a partner may pay us a fee. That fee does not come out of your loan and is not added to your costs.

Compensation can influence which lenders choose to work with us, so we explain the arrangement openly on our advertiser disclosure page. What it does not do is decide your rate. Each lender sets its own APR and terms based on its review of your request.

What We Will Never Do

We will never charge you a fee, sell your data to unrelated marketers, pressure you to accept an offer or ask for money before a loan is funded.

  • Never charge borrowers. Using the form, reviewing offers and declining them all cost nothing.
  • Never ask for upfront payments. No gift cards, wire transfers or crypto, ever. If someone using our name asks, it is a scam.
  • Never sell your information to random marketers. Your request goes to participating lenders and to the vendors that verify identity and prevent fraud, as described in our privacy policy.
  • Never promise approval. Lenders decide, and we say so plainly.
  • Never rush you. An offer is yours to read carefully, compare and walk away from.

The Values Our Team Works By

Candor, clarity, respect for people's time and care with their information guide how we build every page and answer every call.

Candor. We tell people what we know, including the parts they may not want to hear. If a longer term costs hundreds more in interest, we say it.

Clarity. We use plain words, real numbers and worked examples. Borrowing $2,000 for twelve months at a 23% APR means payments near $188 and interest of around $258 in all; that kind of estimate beats vague adjectives.

Respect for time. Short forms, fast matching and support that answers the question you actually asked.

Care with information. Encrypted connections, limited access and sharing only with the lenders and partners involved in your request.

If you want to see how that plays out in practice, read how the process works, or reach our team at 888-512-0754, quickrequest@probablyfundings.com, or 7044 Aspen Hollow Rd, Suite 391, Columbus, OH 43227.
